This is not an unusual story by any means. But since any trip takes a lot of planning, I thought that reminding myself of our journey to get to the holiday would make the actual event even better.
Our original trip was booked for 8th May 2020. It was to be a celebration of my daughter's 21st birthday and my 50th.
We're not regular Disney visitors - this would be only our second family visit - the first being in 2015. We'd love to go more often but it's just not possible for various reasons. So when we do go, I plan the trip very carefully - I do every holiday but even more so with Disney.
And so the planning began. I bought books, we visited travel agents and we started to watch a small selection of videos on YouTube. It all started to come together quite nicely; and then came the pandemic. But we remained positive and re-booked for the end of October, now planning in different events. Sadly for us and so many others like us, even this trip was not to be. So here we are in 2021, planning a new trip in 2022. It'll be two years late; but we will get there, and we can now guarantee that the adventure will be even better!
